Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., and our main Worship Service starts at 10:30 a.m.
We gather each Sunday morning at 16103 Lexington Blvd., Suite K in Sugar Land. We are in the same plaza with Domino’s Pizza and the Sugar Land Music School. Parking is readily available, and we have large signs that should get you to the right place.
Our Sunday Worship Service exalts Jesus Christ by holding high His word.
We sing songs rich with Biblical doctrine, we pray the kinds of prayers commanded by Scripture, we publicly read the Scripture, and we practice expository preaching (in which the main point of a passage of Scripture is the main point of the sermon). We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the last Sunday of each month. Our services are usually about 90 minutes long.
We want to take serious things very seriously, and we want to have a lot of fun with everything else. We love one another, and the community that God has given us. We enjoy spending time together in and out of church. But we know that all of that ultimately comes from our connection to Christ, and we strive to honor and obey Him.
The term Bible Church means lots of different things in different parts of the country, even in our community. We know that many self-described Bible Churches today have an unhealthy interest in politics, end times speculation, and that some even hold unbiblical understandings of the Gospel or Christian life.
What we mean when we say that we are a “Bible Church” is that when we gather, we are focused on preaching, singing, and praying what the Bible says. We believe in the inerrancy, sufficiency, and authority of God's word. And that isn’t simply lip service.
The Scripture is the sole source of authority for all matters of life, godliness, faith, and practice, individually and corporately. We preach expository sermons, because our church’s diet needs to be the Word of God. In church governance, we follow what the Bible says, because the church belongs to Jesus and we need to follow His wisdom, not the false wisdom of pragmatism and worldliness.
We practice historically Baptist ecclesiology, and Elder-led congregationalism because that is what the Bible teaches. We choose not to call ourselves “Baptist" to reflect that we are not aligned with any denomination.
Come as you are. Many people wear blue jeans, polos, or T-shirts; you’ll also see dresses and suits. We are more interested in your heart than your clothes.
No. You won’t be publicly put on the spot during our service in any way. You should expect to meet a bunch of our members, who are pretty friendly! Otherwise, observe, participate as you feel comfortable, and talk to the Elders or Deacons if you have questions.
During the Sunday Worship Service, we offer a nursery upstairs for children through age 4. We offer children’s, youth (7th-12th grade), and adult Sunday School classes. All children’s volunteers have undergone background checks.
While the church’s members have covenanted together to give of our time and treasure to cheerfully support the Lord’s work, we don’t ask or expect visitors to give anything. We are just glad you are here!
While the church’s members use a variety of translations for their own private use, we read from the English Standard Version in all of our services, because it is both accurate and readable.
