Pray for America
Marvin England | July 12, 2020
In this sermon, we are exhorted to pray for America, considering the example of the prophet Daniel who prayed a prayer to God, confessing his own sin, and the sin of the Israelites, asking for God's mercy, and for God to relent of the judgment He had brought upon Israel. In this critical season in the life of our country, we too must get serious about praying and confessing our sin, and the sin that has beset this nation, seeking God's mercy.

Matthew 13:1-23 - The Parable of the Sower
Marvin England | August 25, 2019
In this sermon we learn the surprising truth why Jesus taught in parables: to disclose heavenly truth to believers and conceal it from hard hearted unbelievers. At the same time, Jesus tells a parable about the going forth of the Gospel: it will be (and should be) sowed indiscriminately among all people - but their response is entirely dictated by the soil it falls on - the hearts of the recipients.

This opposition extends to the Great Day of the Lord, the day of judgment. However, those who humble themselves before the Lord will on that day be delivered and exalted because of God's grace.
